Complete a move-in condition report with photos of every room, appliances, and existing damage. Both you and the landlord should sign — this protects your security deposit at move-out under Florida law.
Test all keys, fobs, garage remotes, and mailbox access. Note any incomplete repairs promised at lease signing.
Record meter readings for electricity and water if utilities are in your name.
